Lehi Utah Community Overview

Located between the Great Salt Lake and Utah Lake is a beautiful, growing city called Lehi.  The Jordan River runs through the Lehi Utah community, which is one of the oldest cities in Utah, named after a prophet in the Book of Mormon. It is surrounded by the Wasatch Mountains to the east, and the White and Oquirrh Mountains to the west.  According to the US census, Lehi is the fifth fastest growing city in the entire country.  It is a place of great economic, natural and culture value.

The current population is 52,382 and it is a young city, and the median age is 23.7. But it is also a thriving city, unemployment is only 3% and the average household income is over the nation’s average. The homeownership rate is +80% as well.  The rate of job growth in the next 10 years is approximately, 47%. This growing city has fostered an environment of development in all sectors.  The booming "Silicon Slopes" boasts Lehi City as its hometown.  Home buyers and businesses are recognizing the value and are flocking to this unique, scenic and beautiful community. 

The community is thriving and there are plenty of fun things to do. Thanksgiving Point has an array of things to do with the whole family.  The Museum of Natural Curiosity will be a hit with the kids. It’s an interactive experience with over 400 different things to do including a magic shop. There is also a petting zoo where you can meet alpacas, peacocks and llamas.  There is a 55-acre garden with blooming flowers in the summer, large lawns and waterfalls.  It is a serene place to absorb nature’s beauty.  The whole premise has 15 themed gardens, taking you through different vistas. In the same facility there is also a Museum of Ancient Life, an Art Institute, and a golf course. 

Aside from Thanksgiving Point, you can unwind with shopping at the Traverse Outlets.  The outlets feature the classic chain stores you are used to at a great price.  For seasonal fun, there is the Cornbelly corn maze and pumpkin fest.  The fall festival lasts from the end of September through October.  It features one of the largest corn mazes in America, fright nights, hayrides, activities for kids, a pumpkin patch, food options and more.  This is only the surface of the fun activities Lehi City has to offer. 

If you are a supporter of the arts, Lehi City has an Arts Center, which houses music, theater, and dance performances and workshops in the community.  It is a completely volunteer run organization that works to connect the community with the arts.

After a day of fun, there is a wide array of dining options, modern Mexican, classy American fare, original pizza places as well as chain restaurants.  If you are looking to take the kids out or have a nice dinner with the significant other, there are great options available. Lehi also has a downtown with a collection of restaurants and retail shops as well. 

Lehi Utah will also bring you closer to experiencing the awe inspiring outdoors.  Willow Park has 50 acres of natural space residents mainly use for hiking, running, canoeing, as well as gathering.  You can also venture farther off the beaten path to hike in the area around Lehi.  There are much more challenging environments for hiking and camping.  There are trails in Yellow Fork Canyon County Park, the Mount Timpanogos Wilderness and the Twin Peak Wilderness.  A nature lover’s dream - this is a great place for an active, outdoorsy individual without a doubt. 

Lehi also boasts a well-rated school system, so living in Lehi is about more than just getting a house; it is investing in your family and children.  The public school system reputable, but here are also private school options as well, all of which as rated higher than the nation’s average.
