Overview

Here's some Lehi trivia for you.  Were you aware the movie Footloose was filmed in Utah and the flour mill where Kevin Bacon, aka Ren McCormack, worked was none other than Lehi’s Lehi Roller Mills?  This was also the location of the movies big dance.  Back then the Lehi Roller Mills was surrounded by empty fields and cows.  A lot has changed.

Lehi is Utah’s sixth oldest city and has a rich history, not only in film, but also as a participant in taming the wild west of the 1800’s.  Known by several names during its past, including Sulpher Springs, Snow’s Springs, Dry Creek, and Evansville, Lehi was on the route of the Overland Stagecoach, the Pony Express Trail, and the Transcontinental Telegraph.

Today, Lehi is still in the thick of things, having become a commercial center along the Wasatch Front for technology, hosting several large company’s including Adobe, I.M. Flash, Xactware, Microsoft, Vivant, Oracle and Xango.

Lehi has a huge variety of retail stores and restaurants, including Thanksgiving Point, with its movie theater, botanical gardens, golf course, shopping, restaurants, and museum, offering tons of entertainment options. Cabelas also calls Lehi home along with the Outlets at Traverse Mountain, which offers a huge variety of retail stores, including American Eagle, Banana Republic, Nike, and many more large brands.

Located on the south side of the point of the mountain, Lehi is centrally located between Salt Lake City and Utah County.  With Utah lake just to the south, the Wasatch Mountains to the East and the Oquirrh Mountains to the West, Lehi has amazing access to the SLC international airport, any city along the Wasatch front, hiking, camping, fishing, biking trails, water sports and many other outdoor activities.
